Shaping collaboration as companies grow and change.
Lumea Launch is the team and organisational development offering from Lumea Technologies. We work with founding teams, leaders and product teams, as well as teams and departments in established companies. Whether you are building, growing or navigating change, we help you clarify roles and responsibilities, work through tensions and develop shared ways of working through workshops, coaching and ongoing support.
You work directly with Bernd Jäkel. He works at Lumea in team and organisational development, helping us build our company and shape how we work together.
Connecting technology, products and collaboration
Through Lumea Launch, we share our experience of building a company and aim to give something back to the start-up community. We also learn from the questions and perspectives of the teams we work with.
Lumea develops an AI platform for the real estate industry. As we build our company, we see how closely technical requirements, product responsibilities, the pressure to make decisions and human dynamics are connected. This understanding also shapes our consulting services.
For teams and organisations building, growing and navigating change
A founding team wants to explore shared values and expectations. A growing company finds that its roles and ways of working no longer fit its needs. A team or department in an established organisation wants to rethink leadership and collaboration. Lumea Launch provides support in situations like these, working with people from founding teams to executive management.

Choosing a co-founder and building a working partnership
Choosing a co-founder means committing to a long-term working relationship. Alongside professional skills, shared goals, expectations about time and effort, and attitudes towards responsibility all matter. Differences often become apparent in everyday work, particularly when time is tight or important decisions need to be made.
Discussing these questions early and trying out the collaboration can help you understand your differences and make a more informed decision. This also means exploring how you raise and work through disagreements, creating a foundation you can draw on when challenges arise.
The example below illustrates one possible approach. The individual elements are agreed with you: the scope, sequence and methods can be adapted, expanded or explored in greater depth to suit your situation.
Explore values and expectations
Clarify the company’s values and your expectations of working together.
Understand each other’s working styles
A “Manual of Me” can serve as a personal guide to how each person works and what they need to collaborate well. It supports discussion about responsibility, decisions and communication.
Try working together
Experience working together during an agreed, time-limited trial collaboration. The tasks and arrangements are tailored to your situation.
Reflect on the experience
A facilitated retrospective helps you understand what works, where expectations differ and what still needs to be addressed before making a decision.
Make an informed decision
Use these insights to decide whether to continue working together and agree on any next steps.
The work can provide a shared basis for your decision, informed by values, expectations and actual experience of working together.
Facilitation provides a framework for working through these questions together. The decision about working together remains with the people involved.
How we work
The approach draws on systemic coaching, facilitation and experience in agile product and organisational development. It is tailored to your situation, the people involved and the outcome you want to achieve. The format may be a workshop, offsite, training session, coaching or ongoing support. The following steps provide guidance.
Understand
Understand your needs, the context and different perspectives.
Recognise
Identify patterns, roles, dependencies and sources of friction.
Work through together
Enable conversations, decisions and workable agreements.
Embed
Put responsibilities and new ways of working into practice and review them together.
